Queen Uses Twitter, Stock Collapses (TWTR)

On Oct. 24 the wires were humming with news  the Queen of England had made her first tweet.
Which was followed by the news she got trolled 4 minutes later.

Less widely reported is the fact that Elizabeth Regina was the last adult on earth who had yet to make the social-media-or-not decision.

That’s on the back of news that the social media network’s closely watched measure of engagement slid 7 per cent, despite growth in its user count of 23 per cent.

As Reuters reported on Tuesday that solidifies a pretty crappy month for the 140 word character propagator:

Oct 28 (Reuters) – Twitter Inc’s TWTR.N efforts to improve user engagement and growth rates are taking longer than expected to gain traction, prompting a wave of rating and price target cuts on the stock.
Twitter’s shares fell 14 percent to a near four-month low of$41.80 in early trading on Tuesday. Up to Monday’s close, the stock had already fallen about 24 pct this year....
